There’s nowhere like Manhattan for shopping. From traditional retailers such as On Off Digital World to modern big box chain stores and franchises, there is so much one can do to spend money! Nearly anything can be purchased there, one reason why New York City is considered the capital city of the world oftentimes: if it isn’t found there, it likely doesn’t even exist! Cars, electronics, clothing, anything. The vast array of goods offered is most appropriate for a city that brings together people from all around the world. And that’s another reason why The Big Apple is considered the world’s capital! There just isn’t any other city like it in the world.

A Little About City Harvest
In 1982, several ordinary New Yorkers disturbed at the volume of completely good food being chucked out on a daily basis by local grocers and restauranteurs established City Harvest to serve as a collection and distribution point for such things. Thus, such discarded food would be gathered to be sent on to neighborhood pantries and the like; almost three decades later, almost thirty million pounds would be collected every year, with deliveries made by car, bicycle, and foot averaging some seventy-seven thousand pounds every day.
But despite the donated food and volunteers, City Harvest still relies greatly on the substantial financial support of famous individuals from business, politics, and entertainment, donors such as local success story Robert Toussie and local television weatherman Al Roker. Aside from providing food to over three hundred thousand hungry New Yorkers on a daily basis, City Harvest has introduced educational and advocacy initiatives to support access to nutritious food in low-income neighborhoods throughout the five boroughs. Another agency program aspires to improve the capability of partners such as community pantries to help the needy. Their methods has worked so well that concerned citizens all over have adopted them, starting their own local chapters to help feed area men, women, and children.
Thus, many food banks exist throughout the world, but while the idea is a popular one, it is also a relatively recent one, having been inspired by John van Hengel’s observation back in 1965 that local grocers in his Arizona town were getting rid of food just because of imperfect packaging or some other trivial reason. Mr. van Hengel organized the collection of such food but soon realized that there was much more than his own church could use. Thus was the world’s first food bank born – a repository for discarded but otherwise perfectly fine food that could then be dispersed among the needy.

The Swarovski 2028 Rhinestone Is A Diamond That Does Not Hurt Your Wallet
The Swarovski 2028 rhinestone is a small general-purpose diamond simulant with a flatback that makes it suitable for a variety of applications.
You can use them to spruce up just about anything, such as articles of clothing.
Many musicians have taken to doing just that, from jackets and vests to pants and of course shoes.
The Swarovski 2028 is also well suited for other purposes, such as in arts and crafts.
Many like to decorate scrapbooks with rhinestones.
The diamond-like effect is stunning.
And with a Swarovski, the visuals are very faithful, so much like the real thing that it could well need a professionally trained eye to spot the distinctions – and then perhaps only under magnification!
Obviously, as can be imagined, the Swarovski 2028 isn’t the company’s top-of-the-line offering.
No such thing is offered for sale in gross volumes (literally, with a gross being a hundred and forty-four individual units), after all.
But the Swarovski name should mean a certain level of verisimilitude, craftsmanship for which it has developed a famous status across the world.
With more than a hundred years of expertise in making fine crystal glass products, you can trust rhinestones from them.
This is exactly why Rockefeller Center in New York City utilizes them every year to adorn the top of their world-famous Christmas Tree.
With expertise like that, you can trust a Swarovski to suffice for most any job.
Whenever something calls for the dazzle of a precious stone without the price of one, use a rhinestone.
But when only the best will do, go with a Swarovski.
Founded back in the days of the Dual Monarchy of the Hapsburgs, everything they make is heir to a tradition of technical excellence second to none.
Glistening sparkles along with rainbows, just as with a real diamond, are available for thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars less!

Real Property Values Contine Slide
Business, like life itself, is hard – and the thing that makes them that tough is that they are difficult for a number of different factors, the most significant of which is the incredible volatility involved. Nowhere has that been more true than in real estate of late, where just when it appeared as if things might improve, they take a turn rather for the worse. Most major American metropolitan markets have experienced a renewal of fast falling prices not too long ago due to all the foreclosures and vacant homes still around in addition to the cessation of the federal home buyer tax credit. At the end of the third quarter this year, prices dropped in a full nine out of ten areas tracked by Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller composite home price index.
The largest cities, such as New York and The City of Angels, appear to be doing fine considering the circumstances, but second-tier places including Cleveland, Dallas, and Phoenix are not. Prices are falling dangerously fast and dangerously low in these bellwether cities, which also include Minneapolis and Portland, Oregon. These are “middle America” communities, better reflecting purely national trends instead of a place such as New York or Los Angeles, which can count much more on international factors as well, variables such as direct investment or regularly high levels of tourism, to help power the local economy.
As a result, even though veteran industry professionals such as Isaac Toussie are still bullish on New York, they are anxious about housing problems in the heartland. Cleveland prices fell a full three percent in September alone, even as the unemployment rate there is at pretty much ten out of every hundred individuals. The other regional dynamos of Portland, Minneapolis, Phoenix, and even Dallas are all on dangerous downward trends as well, making local housing markets a buyer’s market – though sales have been flat up to now.

On Off Digital World a Throwback to the 1980s
A place like On Off Digital World really brings back memories for me. I had never much cared for shopping, but in this case I can imagine the appeal it might have for some people. Here, at any rate, it involves going through the kind of, well, retail experience I once had in much younger days, with just this type of store, one that was once found throughout The Big Apple but which has now suffered greatly from the “big box” stores such as Best Buy and so forth. Yes, On Off is a throwback to the ’80s and perhaps earlier, that’s for sure.

Unlocked Cell Phones for Second and Third Lines
The main reason for the popularity of unlocked cell phones is that they work no matter which carrier you choose. Numerous handsets are available thusly, and while most folks normally choose the most recent ones, it often pays to think about older offerings in addition. Case in point, unlocked cell phones such as the Nokia Surge make excellent second handsets for folks who want to maintain two distinct contact numbers. It looks like a T-Mobile Sidekick but being unlocked means that you needn’t only use it with AT&T in the United States. It’s got the same form factor as the best-selling Sidekick, only instead of swiveling it slides to expose the keyboard underneath. Packing this smartphone with text messaging and social media capabilities makes it clear that Nokia is gunning after the youth demographic with this model.
You can’t do much better when it comes to unlocked cell phones for second or third “lines.” But just what is the Surge? What’s it like? Well, it’s a 3G phone offering 2.4 inches of screen real estate at 320×240 TFT pixels and 16 million colors. The 2 megapixel camera is inferior when compared to the 3 megapixel-plus variant on the related 6760 Slide model available in the rest of the world (which phone, incidentally, isn’t carrier-exclusive), but the Surge did debut earlier, after all. Video recording is made at the standard QVGA resolution.
This phone uses the Symbian Series 60 multi-tasking platform, which goes great with the rather powerful feature-set, making this model a mid-level offering. The Surge works with Bluetooth 2.0, with A2DP support, and offers microUSB connectivity as well. Audio is piped through a typical 2.5mm jack. As is the case with most Nokia products lately, there is also an on-board stereo FM radio player. MicroSD cards are supported for close to a maximum of 8GB of additional storage space, on top of the 2GB card included. This phone can also be found in black, white, or red color schemes. Talk-time is rated at a respectable five hours, with standby is a robust five hundred.
Best of all, being unlocked means not having to deal with AT&T and their long two-year contract with mandatory voice and data plans that could conceivably add up to an average of a thousand dollars a year for even a rather casual user! And naturally the Surge is obviously meant for those who are constantly texting, chatting, e-mailing, or using the internet. Such folks could very quickly be charged over two thousand dollars a year!

Of Montgomery Ward and On Off Digital World
To me, On Off Digital World is similar to the old Montgomery Ward in Penn Station, one of them big old old-fashioned electronics retailers that once existed throughout The Big Apple. These guys were simply mom-and-pop operations that got kind of big, to where they had perhaps fifty workers — still thought of a small business by most accounts but certainly rather successful. But that was all before the big box stores and I was just a youth at the time so they all seemed “big” to me — after all, they had all kinds of gadgets on display! That’s what comes to mind now when I happen on a store like this.

The Advantages Of Grocery Coupons
With the price of food rising, grocery coupons have recently become one of the most well-known reasons for people to log online and rummage through the search engines.
Indeed, many informed observers predict that food protection will become one of the most hotly contested issues around the globe as we approach the middle years of the 21st Century.
Food security is not quite the same thing as hunger.
One can be food-insecure without really being among the hordes of growing hungry.
Food security indicates having a reliable source of good food.
By the year 2050, there will be a projected seven billion people on earth, ever more of whom will be prosperous enough to manage a middle-class diet that consists of more and more animal protein.
Grocery coupons are marketing ploys by manufacturers to get consumers to try new products, but with ever dwindling food supplies it is improbable that such gimmicks will have to be employed in the future.
After all, we could well wind up with a feast-or-famine/winner-takes-all kind of society where anyone who’s worried about the price of things probably can’t afford it anyway!
Sounds cynical, but it may easily become the case in even a realistic worst-case scenario.
Thanks to globalization, no one is immune from a bad crop ever again.
Russian forest fires last year forced Moscow to halt all wheat exports, driving up prices on the world market.
This year’s harvest in China is expected to be disastrous on account of a local drought, which will mean even higher prices.
Yes, grocery coupons will be more essential than ever – and yet their availability may decrease drastically as manufacturers raise prices to reflect the much diminished supply.
What’s going to happen to us?
Everything hangs off the thinnest of threads.
All it takes is a perfect storm of concurring components and everyone will wind up in dire straits.

Safes Are Of The Contenders Against Fires
Safes are boxes or box-like structures that could be locked in order to secure valuable objects from theft or injury.
Such items frequently include cash, jewelry, paper documents, media for example magneto-optical discs, and treasures as well as other objects of expressive value.
Available in a wide variety of sizes and even a good range of shapes, safes can be found just about anywhere from individual homes and hotel rooms to health clubs as well as banks.
Some are as large as whole rooms or even complete floors, such as those used to house modern computer data centers.
Many designs also exist, with the least secure types usually employed by small businesses for petty cash, kept at the ready for purposes of everyday finances.
Henceforth, as can be thought possible, a number of specifications can be involved, such as those regarding fire, water, or perhaps about any other circumstance.
While only certain models can offer such extended protection, almost all, including these specialty types, can be expected to withstand some amount of burglary.
Speaking of theft, another common distinction among safes concerns the type of lock employed.
None are foolproof, but each serve different purposes.
Beyond traditional key and combination locks, modern technology also offers these kinds of marvels as the time lock as well as the biometric lock necessitating a fingerprint scan.
For many, a “fun” kind of safe is the diversion safe, also identified as a invisible safe, one found within an otherwise ordinary daily object including a book.
Practically anything can serve as this sort of a safe, from candles as well as soup cans to electrical wall outlets and in some cases coins!
These would be then placed inconspicuously themselves to further help escape notice.
Actually, it’s likely that we pass one as frequently as we do unknowingly!

Brooklyn Businessmen and Women Help Defray Cost of Yeshiva Education
A yeshiva is a religious institution where Biblical and Talmudic texts are studied. These schools cater to the Jewish community and are quite often strongly supported by the community above and beyond the tuition and other basic fees. Typically, prominent businessmen will undertake to support such schools, especially those attended by their families or which they themselves previously attended as youngsters. For instance, Yeshiva Ateret Torah in the city’s Borough of Brooklyn is a special favorite of local success story Robert Toussie, who also supports the nearby Yeshiva Ateres Yisroel, two day-schools that ready children for college in the secular world besides a religious training.
Without a doubt, Yeshiva Ateret Torah has interested the charitable largesse of many a local businessman with its stellar track record, with eighty-seven percent of its students going on to a college education, many times above the normal statewide numbers of only fifty percent of all secondary school students doing the same. Financial assistance helps the school to participate in extracurricular programs such as forming partnerships with like-minded organizations around the world, organizations such as Oorah that aspires to help Jewish families register for yeshivas by defraying some or even all of the expenses concerned.
Like many of these kinds of schools, Yeshiva Ateret Torah serves up instruction from pre-kindergarten through high school. While different grades are often to be found on the same campus, if not within the same building as well, the more religious the yeshiva the more likely it is that boys and girls will be separated for most or even all of the day. And as the religious schools work for a relatively narrow demographic, particularly when one factors in sectarian preferences (that is, Reform versus Conservative versus Orthodox versus Ultra-Orthodox – with even further distinctions , potentially), tuition and fees are likely to be high, which is why the good will of community businessmen and women are so vital.
