The Creative Minds Behind The NEMO Equipment Tent

Category: Uncategorized @ 12:00 am

The NEMO Equipment tent is the flagship product category of NEMO Equipment, an outdoors company specializing in high-level design and engineering. The business was started by Cam Brensinger while still in school, and was moved after his graduation to its present location between New Hampshire’s gorgeous White Mountains and RISD and MIT, the Rhode Island School of Design and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

From the very beginning, the NEMO Equipment tent was destined to put the new business on the map, targeted as it was to bring significant innovation to the market. Early ideas researched the probability of creating an entire tent from one compound beam as opposed to sewing them together.

Once successfully developed, the business began hiring its first employees. Its experience in the field even allowed it to provide consultation on human habitats for lunar and martian exploration! And so, with its credibility thus established, the company branched out beyond the original NEMO Equipment tent to study other designs for an increasingly diverse market of outdoorsmen and women.

The spirit of extreme sports had by then taken hold of campers, hikers, climbers, and trekkers alike, and so the AST range of products designed for extreme circumstances was unveiled. Industry accolades poured in right alongside increased sales, and no less than U.S. Navy Seals have endorsed NEMO products for real-world use that’s reliable like no other.

Most recently, NEMO Equipment has been researching greener products, work that has resulted in the first-ever nearly hundred percent recycled tent, with poles made of bamboo. Product lines have expanded to offer tent accessories and even fan gear, in response to the company’s dedicated following!

In fact, the business is staffed with individuals whose pastimes usually incorporate company products. Being avid outdoorsmen and women themselves has surely lent the business invaluable marketing insight.

Affiliate Marketing And Its Many Benefits

Category: Uncategorized @ 12:00 am

Affiliate marketing is a method of promotion whereby independent contractors, so to speak, are employed to help publicize a product or service. Such work is carried out on a commission-only basis, so that payment is only made on a sale. These individuals are traditionally called “affiliates;” hence the name.

Affiliate marketing can be quite lucrative, and theoretically can generate residual income, money that is earned from work already done. Think of all those songs on the radio.

Did you know that every time one of them is played, the musicians involved are paid? They may have first composed and performed the piece years, even decades, ago, but today they are still being paid for it, every single time the song comes on the air (or is used in movies, et cetera).

That is residual income, and that is the true power of affiliate marketing. It’s a promise that animates tens of thousands of affiliate marketers each and every year, recruiting ever more affiliates – for the way to residual incomes lies in creating one’s own network of affiliates who “kick up” a percentage of their earnings to oneself.

Of course, the devil is in the details, as the old adage goes, and before signing up it is important to carefully educate oneself. Most programs require an initial purchase of some sort, and many others require that sales be on-going in order to continue receiving affiliate income. So let’s say that Charlie has built a network of subscribers to some kind of service or other.

Every time they renew, he receives his take, his cut. But some programs will stipulate that he only actually receives his “lifetime” commission on the condition that he continues to generate new customers! Otherwise, his earnings on his established clients are held for him, and not usually in some third-party escrow, either.

The essential Loan For Small Business

Category: Uncategorized @ 12:00 am

Small business loans are necessary cash infusions taken on by just about any business at some point during its corporate history. Small business loans are made by regular lending institutions such as banks or even the government as well as by other businesses, businesses specializing in making just such loans. Repayment schemes vary, but one of the most desired is that typically attached to a cash advance, requiring merchants to pay only based on their every day credit card sales. Such an arrangement allows in effect one to pay a little amount at a time, as a % rather than an absolute amount, taking almost as long as required!

Benefits Of Educational Toy

Category: Uncategorized @ 12:00 am

In the early eighties, personal computers were billed as something like educational toys. Some kids wanted them, but only a handful of parents fully understood the point. The world, see, hadn’t yet undergone the personal computing revolution then.

Computer systems had not taken over companies, becoming an essential tool of everyday business; there were still whole departments of professional typists who did practically nothing all day but produce paperwork for other departments. Had a bill? Someone typed it up. Have to send a letter? Someone typed it up.

And so getting a computer back then was like getting educational toys for Christmas – or so many unsuspecting parents thought. They might have read something concerning the coming computer revolution and vaguely understood that such electronics are going to be somehow crucial to the world in a few years, but it’s doubtful the typical buyer thought much about it. No, it was the kids who clammored – and how educational could the thing be if kids were voluntarily, even passionately, asking for it?

Asking, demanding – hardly the behavior of children in relation to many educational toys! And indeed, for many kids, the personal computer became nothing more than a glorified videogaming machine, a home arcade.

To be sure, a much wider selection of entertainment software was available for computer platforms than on the game consoles of the era, a variation which continues, though less greatly, today. But make no mistake: the ultimate use the majority of kids got out of a home computer system at the time was electronic entertainment.

Luckily for a few, however, having a pc within the home – it was generally shared between siblings – lead to careers in information technology. For these individuals, the early fascination with personal computers has endured, maturing into jobs creating software, installing hardware, supervising networks. For their parents, a computer was truly the investment in their children originally envisioned.

Coffee Machines In The Modern World

Category: Uncategorized @ 12:00 am

You might believe that the growth of coffee houses the past twenty to thirty years would lead to a decrease in the sale of coffee machines, but on the contrary they continue being as popular as ever, with espresso makers one of the most ballyhooed goods on late-night television. It’s a interesting thing, and may not make a lot of sense on the face of it, but in fact the number of businesses committed to serving coffee has only made people want to buy coffee machines of their own!

Now why should this be? The answer points up to an intriguing attribute of human nature. But first think of why people should patronize coffee houses: it isn’t all about the coffee. Many chains, such as Starbucks, have hit upon the successful method that formerly saw the rise of sidewalk cafes throughout Europe in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries: people needed a nice place indoors! Avoiding cramped quarters at home, such establishments provided a relatively luxurious environment for the price of a cup of coffee. And it’s the same today, with students among the most faithful of customers for these chain coffee houses.

But why should people desire coffee machines, then? Well, in this case, it also isn’t essentially all about the coffee. That’s right! You’d feel that people who like coffee either go to coffee houses or buy coffee makers to use at home. But in both cases, it isn’t always about the coffee itself, but everything else relating to how they get their coffee!

In the case of a coffee house, people go for the ambience as much as anything else. In the event of a home coffee maker, it’s about the convenience: no lines to wait on, but everything on a timer and ready when you wake up or come home, with the same range of flavors – all at a much reduced cost. And there’s always seating available!

Which is better a Macbook or a PC

Category: Uncategorized @ 12:00 am

For almost all choosing between a Macbook or a PC can be a genuinely challenging decision. Both the Macbook and the PC have their pros and cons. PC’s are more typically used and for that reason will have more software along with more places for it to be repaired if it stops working. Macbook on the other hand is growing in popularity and does not seem to have as many problems as a PC, plus the places it can be repaired seems to be growing as well. A key factor in the PC versus Macbook war is the price. A PC can be much less expensive compared to a Macbook, however ordering a Refurbished Macbook may aid with this issue. In addition the Os in a Macbook is not as much of a target as the Windows operating system as found in PC, in terms of viruses, this is why you are less likely to get a virus in a Macbook.

The Importance Of Having Gun Safes

Category: Uncategorized @ 12:00 am

At Fort Benning, every recruit training company’s armory held much more than just firearms. In addition to the gun safes housing serialized M-16A2 rifles, our bayonets had been stored there, too. Not like with Basic Rifle Marksmanship (BRM), we had been only instructed in the use of the “cold blue steel” a couple of times. Literally. We practiced various fighting moves with it, and also did the traditional dummy-stabbing you see in the movies. It was fun, and it made us feel like warriors, not just soldiers.

But guns were what actually interested us. Some gripe about the endless marching, and others the endless pushups, but no one would ever mind shooting, shooting, and more shooting. We did not actually realize there was an armory on the premises, and in this regard its gun safes seem redundant, seeing how everything’s behind a dead-bolted door and you will find no munitions around, anyway.

Sure there was a little nametag of a sign that said “armory” but likely no recruit noticed it, seeing how the floor plan was such that our daily activities didn’t take us anywhere near the door it graced. Until BRM, that is. Really, it was a little before BRM that people found out about the armory because we had been given dummy rifles for Rifle Drill and Ceremony, or Rifle D&C, from it. But BRM was when we finally got our hands on the real deal.

They had been taken out of their gun safes and piled right by the armorer for quick distribution. Each man waited in line, then promptly called out his roster number and received his rifle.

Why MLM Is So Popular

Category: Uncategorized @ 12:00 am

MLM – possibly the three most familiar letters to individuals first contemplating a small home business. It stands for multi-level marketing, of course, long a colorful mainstay of American entrepreneurship. But exactly what is it? Why is it so often reviled – and so persistently existent?

To put it simply for purposes of illustration, MLM is nothing more than a networking theory as applied to direct sales. Networking theory concerns, obviously, networks, or the connections between points. These points, or nodes, are for purposes of our discussion each individual salesman or woman.

Let’s say you have a product to sell. You recruit two people to sell it, but as opposed to simply offering a very high commission on each unit sold, they have to “kick up” a certain percentage of the profits to you. They in turn recruit two other people each under the same terms.

Those two recruit still others, still under those terms. As can be imagined, with enough people working in your network, you will no longer need to do any selling yourself! And neither will those who have a good-sized network under them.

That’s the beauty of it all; at some crucial “boiling point,” your network almost takes on a life of its own. There are many variations to this basic concept, but all such programs work on these general premises. The worldwide web, being itself a network, perfectly complements this kind of a business.

And so it is that many would-be entrepreneurs have taken to network marketing with quite a passion, because the nature of the new medium is such that one’s reach is exponentially extended – and it’s all about the numbers in this game. Recruit enough individuals under you and you simply collect money! Many make a living doing just this, with moderate to extravagant incomes.

The Largest Marble Sculpture In The World

Category: Uncategorized @ 12:00 am

Bring up marble sculpture and most individuals will think about some thing like Italian marble statues, for instance as Michelangelo’s David or Bernini’s Ecstasy of Saint Teresa. But some of the greatest works of marble are complete buildings themselves, such as India’s Taj Mahal in Agra, an ancient bustling city on the banks of the Yamuna in Uttar Pradesh.

First mentioned in the old Hindu epic the Mahabharata, where it was called Agrevana, or “the border of the forest,” today’s Agra is most famous for the Taj Mahal, Urdu for “crown of buildings.” It’s a marble mausoleum built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtza Mahal.

It is most likely the most breathtakingly beautiful piece of marble sculpture anywhere, an entire complex built to symbolize eternal love. It is not for nothing that the Taj Mahal is usually found on lists of the seven wonders of the modern world, including one made by polling a hundred million people.

Thus the Taj Mahal attracts anywhere from two to four million visitors each year, of whome about two hundred thousand are from outside the country. This is a significant fact, as admissions are considerably lower for Indian citizens than for foreigners.

The very best time to see this beautiful work of marble is during the cooler months of October and November, which are important considerations since a lot of walking can be expected (the entire complex consists of several buildings and sweeping gardens) on account of the strict pollution controls in place that ban all traffic, except for some electric busses. Environmental pollution is also a serious matter in the area around the Taj Mahal.

Its storied white marble had turned yellow, and now there is a four thousand and fifteen-square mile area around this UNESCO World Heritage Site where emissions are subjected to the strictest standards.
